Kay Huggins

Kay Frances Vaughn Huggins, age 78 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 2, 1944. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Austin Huggins, Jr., and parents Gilbert Sherman Vaughn and Elizabeth Woelk Vaughn, and brothers Russell Vaughn and Larry Vaughn, and two infant sisters.

She is survived by daughters; Kimberly Kay Huggins, and Stephanie Thomas (Mark); granddaughter Lexi McAuley (Griffin); grandson Austin Thomas; great-granddaughter, Charlie.

She was a wonderful and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother “Gigi”, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was happiest spending time with her grandchildren and her great- granddaughter. She also enjoyed shopping, boating, traveling, spending time at her lake home, and riding the golf cart.

She graduated from East High School in 1962. She married Tommy Huggins in 1963. She was a faithful Christian who devoted her life to raising her two daughters.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 2pm. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the start of the service. The family will have a private graveside service.
