KC Caplinger

March 14, 1976 — December 19, 2025

Kenneth Keston Caplinger III, affectionately known as ‘KC’, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, December 19th, 2025.

KC was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed many mornings hunting on his friends farm, fishing in the Greenbrier River with his father-in-law and back pack camping with his friends through West Virginia.

KC was an avid golfer, even achieving a Tennessee State Championship ring.

He loves the snow and shredded the mountain on his prized snowboard at every opportunity.

KC was a successful business owner, always valuing the relationships he made with each individual above transactions. Each client truly became a friend.

His greatest achievement however, was his family. He cherished board game nights with his sons and their friends, ‘team Yahtzee for the win’; Long ‘Ghandi’ style conversations with all who pulled up a chair; traveling the world with his wife; spontaneous trips around the country with his friends; and being the infamous lead singer of the Cap 5…sometimes featuring ‘Hula Helga’! KC loved his family and he loved life! He lived life ‘working in the basement’…giving all he had to everyone he knew without question, hesitation or acknowledgement.

KC and his wife are co-founders of TRIBE Church, an organization that promotes implementing Biblical principles in daily life with a focus on women and family. They are also members of Point of Mercy Church in Madison, TN.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 26 years, Bridget Caplinger; three sons who he loved with his whole heart, Blaik, Jacob, and Carson; two special girls who called him ‘Cappy’, Swayzie and Shiloh; his parents, Kenny and Judy Caplinger; his in-laws, Ron and Elaine Withrow; special family friends, Carrie, Summer, and Hunter Riddell; and a host of family and friends who loved him and he loved deeply.

KC is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ken and Doris Caplinger; Sherman and Gloria Sisler; brother-in-law, Ronnie Withrow; and ‘brother’ Brad Riddell.

Visitation for KC will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Point of Mercy Church (200 Gleaves St, Madison, TN 37115).
