Keith Edward Harrison- age 63 of Hendersonville passed away June 8, 2016.
As a young man he was very athletic and participated in track and field in high school. At the age of 18 he was in a tragic accident that left him with a crippling brain injury. Even though he faced a grim diagnosis he worked for the rest of his life. He overcame all of the obstacles with the help of his wife Marcia, who was an angel by his side for 37 years. He was a great example to his sons who never knew what he faced on a daily basis. They always saw him as a strong man and they secretly thought he was a wrestler.
He was always a hard worker that was very witty and loved to make people laugh. He was also a man of faith who was a longtime member of the Hendersonville Nazarene Church. He enjoyed collecting coins and also loved to spend time with his family. He was probably most passionate about ice cream, especially cookies and cream or any flavor that Marcia made for him. His life was a great example to others and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by fathers, Edward Wren Harrison and Douglas J. Brewer; brother-in-laws, James Cash and Bobby McCullum.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Marcia Harrison; sons, Paul Randall Harrison (Sarah) and Michael Edward Harrison (Tara); grandchildren, Emma Rose Harrison and Timothy Bryce Harrison; mother, Clara Brewer; sisters, Sue Cash, Pam McCollum, Linda Davis (Bill); brother, Ronnie Brewer (Pam) and 21 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11am in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 2pm-5pm and again on Monday from 10-11am at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E Main St Hendersonville, TN 37075 615-824-3855 hendersonvillefh.com
