Kenneth ‘Ken’ G. Sadler of Hendersonville, Tennessee, went home to Jesus on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Ken was born July 28, 1943, in Scottsville, Kentucky. He spent 34 years working as an electrical engineer manager at DuPont, before retiring. Affectionately known as Gampa by his chaotic family, with patience like Job, his quiet spirit was one that exuded wisdom and wit, peppered with dry humor to keep everyone smiling.
He is preceded in death by Otis Sadler (father), Pauline and ‘Pop’ Smith (mother and bonus father), James (Lillian) Sadler (brother and sister-in-law), Beth Sadler (late wife), and Kenneth Sadler, Jr. (son).
Ken is survived by his wife, Judy Sadler, son Daniel Sadler, daughters Jacque (Ronald) Head, Tiffany (Brad) Stevens, grandchildren Kayla (Andrew) Jefferies, Nathan (Hannah) Head, Austin Stevens, Haley Stevens, Avery Head, Nick Head, Sarah Head, and Lilly Head, niece and nephew Jan (David) Pippin and Jim Sadler Jr., and many others.
A longtime member of Bluegrass/Indian Lake Peninsula Church, those who knew Ken knew his nature was one of a protector and caretaker. From a young age, Ken enjoyed spending his days outdoors, an avid outdoorsman, and his hobbies included running, fishing, bicycling, disc golf, windsurfing and sailing. The ultimate ‘fix-it’ man, he knew how to repair and solve problems, and was even known to use duct tape to patch a hole in his pants or keep a saggy sock from falling.
Family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Indian Lake Peninsula Church at 4 o’clock, with the celebration of life beginning at 5 o’clock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Indian Lake Peninsula Church, Here for Good fund, at ilpc.church/give
