Kountrye Borders

Kountrye Borders, 77, passed away on February 23, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Kountrye was born on February 15, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio to Samuel and Pearl (Kreemer) Borders.

Kountrye was a good old country boy. He enjoyed life, loved old Western movies, Gunsmoke, old time country music, and sports especially his Cleveland Browns. He was a Christian man who loved the lord and was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ.

Kountrye is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Pearl; his wife Marjorie L. Borders; and his sister Janet Quigly. He is survived by his daughters Chanda “Choo-Choo” Carder and Kimberly (Tim) Ray; grandchildren Breeanna Carder, Riley Carder, Kayden Hamilton, Tiffany Ray, and Stephanie Ray. In addition, he is survived by his sister Louise (Darrell) McDaniel; brothers George (Tonya) Borders, John (Gail) Borders and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 10am-12pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Service will begin at 12pm in the funeral home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
