Linda M. Brewer

Aug 12, 1956 — Sep 9, 2026

Linda Marie Brewer (née Talbott), passed away on September 9, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, goodness, and kindness. She was born on August 12, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio and lived life to the fullest for 70 years.

Linda was preceded in death by her younger son Timothy Scott Brewer, mother Irene C. Talbott, and brother Gary Wayne Talbott. She is survived by her son, Christoper Michael Brewer (Julie), and 5 grandchildren; Logan, Grace, Ethan, Lilie, and Ellah.

Linda was an accomplished journalist, cook, makeup artist, fitness instructor, mother, and grandmother. She spent her lifetime being kind, generous, and loving to all who knew her, and will be remembered by her beautiful smile, laugh, the stories she told, and the jokes she shared. Linda’s favorite story to tell was the day she became a makeup artist for Christian Dior. As a self-proclaimed “Diva”, this was an incredibly proud moment for her. She wore a red top with a black pantsuit and the interviewer told her, “Honey, you look Dior.” She was not only smart, talented, and kind, but also incredibly beautiful.

She spent her mornings lying on the couch, doing her makeup over the course of a few hours. The quiet time before the world started was hers, and she will be felt every slow morning and every cup of coffee by her loved ones. There are no words to describe the immense loss felt by those close to her.

Linda spent her life reading and writing, and it is only fitting to give her one last poem. “I was enjoying everything: the rain, the path wherever it was taking me, the earth roots beginning to stir. I didn't intend to start thinking about God, it just happened. How God, or the gods, are invisible, quite understandable. But holiness is visible, entirely. It's wonderful to walk along like that, thought not the usual intention to reach an answer but merely drifting. Like clouds that only seem weightless but of course are not. Are really important. I mean, terribly important. Not decorative by any means. By next week the violets will be blooming. Anyway, this was my delicious walk in the rain. What was it actually about? Think about what it is that music is trying to say. It was something like that.”
