Linda Gail Pickens, 62, of Hendersonville, TN, was born in Nashville, TN on January 30, 1958 and went to be with our Lord on Friday, October 30, 2020. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Urser M. Bright, Jr., mother, Lorene Bright, and brother, James Bright. Survived by her husband, David Pickens, children; Jamie Burns (Tony) and Larry Scarbrough (Elise), sister, Joyce Hollis (Wayne), brothers, Johnny Bright (Karen) and Jeffrey Bright (Monica), grandchildren; Abby Burns, Chloe Burns and Leyton Scarbrough. Linda is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Linda was a long-time member of Metro Baptist Church in Goodlettsville. She loved visiting Gatlinburg with her husband, especially Dixie Stampede and Mel's Diner. She was an avid reader, especially books by spirit filled authors. Linda enjoyed gardening and loved growing roses. She loved spending time with her family and took great pride and joy in her grandchildren. Linda enjoyed holidays and just laughing with her grandkids. Linda has been an inspiration to many through her life just by example of living despite having a long battle with health issues.

A Celebration of Life service for Linda will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville, on Wednesday, November 4th at 2:00 PM, presided by Pastor Ryan Hill. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:00 PM. Entombment will follow the service in the Mausoleum.
