Linda Sue Gordon

Linda Sue Gordon, age 84, of Hendersonville passed away on October 17, 2025. Sue was born to the late Edward Craig and Mary Lucille Craig on June 23, 1941 in Dyer, Tennessee.

Sue attended Dyer High School and later graduated with a GED.

Whether you knew her as Sue, or Linda, or even Linda Sue, you knew she was a Christian. Until recently, she held the title of longest member (55 years) in choir at First Baptist Hendersonville.

She loved her family and looked forward to Game Nights, going to movies/plays, making crafts or just connecting with them over a meal.

Sue never knew a stranger. She’d talk to everyone and truly valued her close friendships. She was blessed to have had great neighbors who still looked out for one another.

She was always willing to lend a hand whether a meal was needed, or a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or care for someone short or long term. She would always offer her help.

Over her lifetime Sue had many interests which included reading, traveling, crocheting, riding motorcycles, playing racquetball, being a member on a bowling team, animal lover, playing the piano, and even playing the organ for a small church.

Her sense of humor and caring spirit touched the lives of so many. She will be greatly missed.

Sue is preceded in death by her father, Edward Craig; her mother, Mary Lucille Craig; and her husband, Willian “Billy” Gordon.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Lisa Williams and Debbie Pearson (Marty Pearson); her grandchildren, Kyle Pearson (Rachel Pearson), Shelby Alexander (Ryan Alexander), and Jacob Williams (Alisa Williams); and her great grandchildren, Theodore Pearson and Emily Williams.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075) with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at the same location. Burial will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
