Lolita Lynn Elrod Miller (74) born in Nashville, TN was called home on January 11, 2026. Anyone who knew her would describe her as colorful, curious, sparkly, enormously fun and a person who never met a stranger. She loved her flowers, hosting dinner parties, spending time with her children, grandchildren and husband Doug. She was a devout Christian and loved the Lord.
Lolita is survived by her Husband, Doug Miller; children Greg and Shannon Elrod, Amy Elrod, Adam and Rachel Miller, April and Troy Hagar; Grandchildren: Alexandria Breshears, Emerson, Lincoln and Henry Harrison Elrod, Alba and Cullen Miller, Reece and Cole Hagar.
She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Elrod and parents Homer and Evell Gregory.
As a mother, she was devoted, protective, silly and inspiring. When not keeping her family nurtured and entertained, she worked throughout her life in sales. This was the perfect profession to exercise her passion for people with her simple southern charm, friendly wit and easy conversion. If you were an early adopter of cellular technology in the 1980s and 90s in Nashville, there’s a strong chance that Lolita was the first person you met before you had a cellular phone mounted in the center console of your car. She spent more than 30 years providing personalized service and navigating to educate customers on what came next from the early Motorola DynaTAC to the iPhones we use today.
After connecting many thousands of people throughout her career, she spent her retirement days traveling with Doug and friends, helping raise her grandchildren, hosting dinner parties, planting flowers and keeping us all laughing.
In her final year, liver disease slowed her fast-paced life. She fought valiantly and was cared for by an army of friends, neighbors, Doug and family.
In her final moments, as life was simplified; when her beautiful journey was winding down, she was kept comfortable, with the whispers of love and the warmth of touch as she ascended to be home with her savior.
