Margaret C. Russo

Margaret Cecilia Russo, age 96, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Margaret was born on August 23, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York to Nicholas and Michelina (Garone) Lopardo.

Margaret was a woman with strong faith and deep love for her family. Margaret married the love of her life Casper Joseph Russo, they celebrated 65 years of marriage until his death on September 24, 2018. Margaret was true to her Italian heritage; she loved to cook and entertain family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Michelina Lopardo, her loving husband Casper Russo, and her son Richard Russo, along with her 6 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons Dr. Donald (Jenny) Russo, Dr. Edward (Sharon) Russo, and Dr. Joseph (Ginny) Russo. Margaret is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Andrew (Caite) Russo, Kathleen Russo, Kelton (Rachael) Carter, Michael (Lillian Harris) Russo, Marni (Matthew Thomas) Russo, Samantha Russo, Andrea Russo, great-grandchildren Ronan Thomas and Hudson Russo along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4pm-8pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 12pm with visitation from 11am-12pm. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
