Martha Ashworth Jackson, age 81 of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Friday, May7,2021 in Gallatin, TN. Martha was born in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late Edward Raymond and Mattie Coleman Lanius Ashworth. She is survived by her brothers, Ray Ashworth (Faye), John Ashworth (Brenda); sister Mary Sue Overstreet (Freddy); stepsons, Michael S. Jackson (Jamie), Wendell W. Jackson; sister-in- law Delores Ashworth and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Jackson, sisters Sarah Mae Ashworth, Patricia Ann White and brother Earl Wayne Ashworth.

Services to celebrate Mrs. Jackson's will held at 12pm on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 11,2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Jackson officiating, and family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on the afternoon of Monday, May 10, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the funeral services.

Martha was the oldest child of seven siblings and was an active member of Hendersonville Church of God since 1984 and organist since the age of 16. In the 1980s she sang in the gospel group "Glory Bound". Martha retired from American General Insurance Company in Nashville after 38 years of service.
