Mrs. Mary Irene Williams, age 87, of Hendersonville TN, passed away surrounded by her family on September 28, 2019. She was born on May 1, 1932 in Smithville, TN to the late Andrew Jackson and Cora Letha Poss.

Mary was best known as a caregiver. She always put others and their needs before her own, always making sure others were taken care of. She just loved everyone she came in contact with. She met the love her life, Mr. Charles Williams, at the age of 12 and they were then married when she was 14, on November 23, 1946 and were married for 72 years. Together they had two sons. She was truly an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Mary is survived by her husband, Charles Williams; sons, Chuck (Carol) Williams and Roger Dale Williams; grandchildren, Russell Chad Williams, Rachel Celeste Sadler, Rebecca Carrie Williams, and Ashley Nicole Williams; great grandchildren, Whitney Caroline Sadler, Madeline Lauren Williams, Savannah Paige Sadler, Isabella Hope Dancer, Gavin Trace Williams, Hallie Lane Dancer, Deanna Shay Williams, , Charles Taye Sadler ,Crew Russell Campbell, and Bentley Lane Williams.

A life celebration will be 1pm, Thursday, October 3rd in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Wednesday and then again from 11-1pm prior to the service.
