Melanie Sue Foley, age 61, of Hendersonville passed away on October 19, 2014.

Love passeth all understanding. It's the words that came to mind when speaking about Melanie. She gave of herself without thought of anything in return. She had a magical way of listening with an open honest heart and if she had an opinion she would never push her views onto her friend or anyone else. Not only was she a wonderful listener, but a very good friend and an admirable wife, loving mother and caring sister. She always held her head high and took the higher road. Being dedicated to her family even to the very end she had the strength of eight men. The best way to describe Melanie, are in all her spiritual qualities, her spiritual attributes in Christ, in God are what made her. We can feel comforted in knowing that her qualities of love, her spiritual attributes are also your attributes in Christ in God. She didn't always voice it but she wanted what was best for all of us. She allowed us to be a better person for having the privilege of knowing her.

Mrs. Foley was preceded in death by her daughter Erin Foley and parents Jack and Aleene Beiser Harris. She is survived by loving husband of 26 years Keith Gerald Foley, daughters Calumet and Hayley Foley, sister Julie Vieu, brothers Alex Harris and John Harris, and cousin Mike Gilbert.
A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, October 23, at 7pm with Pastor Bill Chapman officiating at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will from 4:00pm until the time of service. An inurnment will take place at a later date.
