Melissa Ann Gaw was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on April 25, 2021 at age 57.

She is survived by her four children, who were her entire world Kacie Baldwin (Eric Baldwin), Kellie Vaughn (Jerrod Vaughn), Kendall Gaw (Richard Cartmell Jr.), and Kyle Gaw. Her grandchildren Sadie Baldwin, Ryleigh Baldwin and Kannon Vaughn as well as her unborn grandchildren Zaiden Cartmell and baby Vaughn. Her brother Allen "Spud" Shivers and sister Deborah "Debbie" Sentell. Her sister Dawn Scholl and family, a very special aunt Cindy Carter and family. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gaw was preceded in death by her parents Enoch and Valerie Shivers.

Services to celebrate Melissa's life will be held at 11am on the morning of Monday, May 3,2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Davis officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-6pm on the afternoon of Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.

She was born to Enoch and Valerie Shivers on February 25, 1964. She graduated from Hendersonville High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech University.

Melissa loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed family trips to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. Anyone who knew her knew her favorite title was mom and Nana Lissa.
