Michael Wayne Martin, aged 70, peacefully transitioned on December 17, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on February 22, 1953, to the late Erma Gladys Martin and John Austin Martin, Sr., Mike was preceded in death by his grandson, John Robert Bradford Moore, siblings Erma Jean Sweeney, John Austin Martin, Jr., Brenda Martin, brothers-in-law Charles Sweeney, Porter Jones, Lewis Eatherly, and his cherished friend, Greg Lampley.

Survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Regina Martin, Mike leaves a lasting legacy through his children Leslea Sloane Moore (Michael) and William Chance Martin (Maria), along with grandchildren Mabry Reid, Asher Martin, Charley Moore, and Lena Moore. Sisters Dolores "Tommy" Eatherly, Helen "Gracie Mae" Martin, and Dorothy "Dot" Sue Martin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Commencing his work journey at the tender age of 12, Mike's undeniable work ethic was evident throughout his life. From positions at Dupont to establishing his insulation business, Mike Martin Insulation, and culminating in a 22-year career with Nissan North America, Mike exemplified dedication. Post-retirement, he continued operating his insulation business and supplying firewood to upscale Nashville restaurants. A proud six-year service with the Air National Guard marked his commitment to country.

Beyond work, Mike found joy in cruising, traveling, and working on cars. Building his own home stood as a testament to his determination, patience, and craftsmanship. With a quick wit and a great sense of humor, Mike illuminated every room. His self-sacrificing nature was evident in everything he did, and nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by his beloved grandchildren.
