Nancy Greggain Singelyn

February 11, 1944 — June 11, 2025

Hendersonville

Nancy was born February 11,1944 in Chicago Illinois, to Daniel and Helen (Kusen) Greggain. The family moved to Wilmington, IL when Nancy was a young child. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1966, then moved to Germany where she worked for the US Army. There she met Paul Singelyn, and they were married September 30, 1967, in Hanau, Germany. Her first child, James, was born in 1973 in Michigan, and their second son, David, was born in 1975 in Idaho. They moved to Tennessee, then Illinois, then back to Tennessee in 2015. She passed away in her sleep on June 11, 2025.

Nancy enjoyed people; she especially loved her family and friends. She was active in the Episcopal Church and volunteer organizations such as Welcome Wagon and New Neighbors. Nancy enjoyed travelling with Paul and friends and made many trips around Europe and America. She especially enjoyed travelling to visit her grandchildren.

Nancy greeted all with a big warm smile, and she had a heart big enough to embrace everyone she knew. She always had time to listen.

Nancy is survived by her husband: Paul Singelyn; sons: James Singelyn and David Singelyn; grandchildren: Danielle Stephens, Ashley Macias, Lauren Lopez, Taylor Singelyn, Paul Singelyn, Penelope Singelyn, Maddie Singelyn, and Luke Singelyn; and great-grandchildren: Charlotte Stephens, Harper Stephens, and Dakota Macias.

She will be fondly remembered by all.

A memorial visitation will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The memorial service will follow, beginning at 3:00pm in the chapel.
