Neta Smith age 96 of Hendersonville, TN. passed away on March 3rd, 2020. A celebration of life service for Neta will be held on Sunday March 15th, 2020 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 1:00PM until service time at 2:00PM.

Neta leaves behind a legacy of love. Some of her favorite activities included flowers and gardening, watching birds & collecting knick knacks, teapots and tea sets. She was an excellent cook and loved sharing her dishes with friends and family. She was very involved in her community. Neta became a citizen of Hendersonville in 1963 and was involved in supporting the local VFW & senior citizens groups. She also worked the voting polls during elections.

Neta is preceded in death by her husband W.D. "Smitty" Smith. Parents Burse B. Dunn & Lora Peck Dunn. Daughter Teresa Ann Smith Davis & her husband John C. Davis, grand-daughter Theresa Faye Smith. Brothers: Otto Dunn, M.O. Dunn, L.B. Dunn, Richard Dunn & B.B. Dunn Jr.

She is survived by her son Larry D. Sr. & (Donna) Smith, son Richard & (Brenda) Smith , daughter-in-law Betty Davis. Grandchildren: Larry D. Smith Jr. , Richard Daylon Smith, Bryan Dale Rose, Elliot Smith, Nicholas Rose, Conner Smith, Memory Little, Alexandria Boone, Miranda Rose as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & extended family.

Neta was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
