Paula Kay Thomas Rutledge, age 63, of Gallatin, TN passed away on December 27,2020 at 2:09 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on the morning of Saturday, January 2,2021. Three Oaks Church in Gallatin, TN at 502 Douglas Bend Rd. Clay Baggett will officiate the service.
Paula loved music. She was a talented and established pianist. She loved to teach music especially to children. She was also a fabulous songwriter and singer. Paula lived for her children and grandchildren. They filled her life with joy. She was always so cheerful, it overflowed into the people around her. The atmosphere changed when she walked into the room. No matter how she felt, she was always up for a good time.
Paula is preceded in death by her father Robert Rutledge, her mother Lois Rutledge and her brother Steven Rutledge. She is survived by her daughter Tammy M. and Steven Cox; sons Matthew A. Thomas Jr., Gabrielle A. and Kim Thomas, Joshua D. and Rene Thomas; brother Donald Rutledge and sister Sherry Curtsinger. She had 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Paula was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
A visitation will be on the afternoon of Friday, January 1,2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 4-8 pm.
