Payton Mead

January 30, 2004 — September 13, 2021

Hendersonville

Mead Payton Michael, 17, passed away suddenly on September 13,2021
Payton, a brother, a son, and a best friend.

He held the hearts of so many. He gave and gave and hardly asked for anything in return. He knew and helped so many people. He had a mind like no other. He had the best kind of humor, a smile that lit up every room he walked in, a laugh that echoed around the room and made you smile. This world is a lot darker without him in it. But his memory lives in everything we do. We ask you cherish his memory as much as we do. Remember him for the bright, kind, wonderful young man he is. He will always be remembered in our minds and hearts. Payton was sunshine and laugher to his Mom and Dad and the son that every parent would have wanted. As a big brother to his sisters he was loving, caring and thoughtful. Many people say that Payton changed their lives for the better. He gave the best hugs to his family. May he find the answers he was searching for, and may he Rest In Peace.

In addition to his parents , Ashley and Michael Mead and his sisters Madison and Macie Lynn of Hendersonville, Payton is survived by his grandparents Maureen and Doug Butler of Santa Rosa, California and Robynn and Bill Spice of Clay Center, Kansas and Melissa Mead of Hendersonville and the late Michael Mead. He was the nephew of Thaxton Mead, Lane Dorris and Ali Greer, Haley Butler, Megan Butler, Douglas Butler, Lisa Spice and Christina Askew. Cousins Kylie, Matthew, Karl, Helene, Hunter and Makenna.
Payton was a Senior at Beech High school and Vice President of HOSA and member of the Chess and Bowling teams He was an employee at Five Below.

The Mead Family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to help during this very difficult time.
