Phillip Cameron Brimm, age 71, passed away on November 11, 2023, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Trena, as well as his son Derek (Katy) Brimm and daughters Dana (Nick) Spoonmore and Dawn (Chris) Brimm-Leonard. He was a devoted Pa-Pa to his grandchildren Alexis Brimm, Landon Brimm, Harvey Leonard, and Cal Phillip Leonard. Additionally, Phillip is survived by his baby sister Anita (Barry) Nicholson and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful companion Harley the pug.
Phillip was born on January 20, 1952, to the late William and Thelma Brimm. He was raised in Antioch, TN, as the second youngest of ten children. He was proud of his time in the Navy, serving four years as an airplane mechanic in Puerto Rico. After leaving the military, he was a “telephone man” for 42 years before retiring from AT&T in 2018.
Phillip loved taking care of his family and friends. He was a devoted caregiver for his wife, but he was also everyone’s first call for car repairs, airport rides, and pet sitting. He gave the warmest hugs, told the weirdest jokes, and made the best chili. He was a great man of faith and a member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ for over 30 years, where he served as deacon over the Room in the Inn ministry for many years. His family never doubted his love for them, because he never stopped telling them.
A visitation is planned for Thursday, November 16th, at Hendersonville Church of Christ from 12-2 PM with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Room In The Inn.
