Pleas Beely Potts, Jr.

Pleas Beely Potts, Jr., age 94, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on October 20, 2025. Pleas was born to the late Pleas Potts, Sr. and Fannie Potts on January 7, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Pleas enjoyed playing the golf for many years. However, it was his passion for his family and faith that truly shaped his identity. He held a special bond with his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Most of all, he was a devoted follower of Jesus. He exemplified the values of compassion and service, living a life that inspired others to seek the same goodness.

In addition to his parents, Pleas is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria D. Potts; daughter, Brenda Hutchison; great grandson, Daniel Sheppard; and siblings, Elaine Blair, Louella Fortner, and Larry Eugene Potts.

Pleas is survived by his daughters, Edna Andrews and Vicki Kirby; his grandchildren, Kristy Hutchison, Lawrence Hutchison (Rachel), Taylor Andrews (Amelia), Lindsey Andrews, Tandy Dillard (Darrell) and Alisha Mitchell (Steven); his great grandchildren, David Sheppard, Lexi Richardson, Bailey Hudson, Dawson Sheppard, Alex Dillard, Parker Hampton, Bryson Choate, Hunter Hutchison, Addi Andrews, Stella Andrews, Griffin Andrews, Steven Mitchell, Ashlynn Mitchell, Caleb Mitchell, Breanna Mitchell, Brooke Biggerstaff, Blaire Biggerstaff, and Sarah Biggerstaff; and his great-great grandchildren, Ashton Sheppard, Brock Richardson, Brooks Richardson, Banks Richardson, Cora Sheppard, August Hudson, Elwood Hudson and Murphy Chambliss.

Visitation for Pleas will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 4-7 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075) and on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 1-2 pm at the same location. The funeral service for Pleas will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075) with burial to follow.
