Rachel Watts

January 20, 1989 — January 20, 2026

Rachel Ann (Richardson) Watts celebrated her 37th birthday running to the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour on January 20, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She embodied steadfast faith, love, and devotion to her family and unwavering trust in the promises and good and perfect plans that her Saviour and best friend had for her. Her greatest desire was for Him to be glorified in and through her life.

Rachel was a gifted educator and light to countless students, and colleagues, because she lived a life of complete surrender and service to the Lord and to others. She loved to cook, dance, travel, and spend time with family and close friends from their church life group. Her smile was as contagious as her heart for others, and to know her was to be truly seen, prayed for, and deeply loved. Her family was her proudest accomplishment as she was intentional to raise her children to know and serve the Lord.

She was known for her gentle spirit and deep faith; demonstrating an intimate walk with the Lord in the way she lived, loved and trusted Him daily. Together, she and Nathan were on mission to make Christ known through service to others; faithfully living out the love of Jesus in quiet and unseen ways. She leaves a legacy of faith, charity and commitment to share Christ’s love.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Nathan; and her cherished children, Norah Beth and Deacon Lane; parents, Mike and Debbie Richardson; siblings, Raegan (Brandon) Pope, Ryan (Madelyn) Richardson; grandfather, Jerry Johnson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Beth Watts; and many treasured sister and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jessie W. Richardson, Thelma Richardson and Ann Johnson.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Long Hollow Church, Hendersonville, TN from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. In case of inclement weather the service will be postponed to February 7th at the same time and location.
