Hendersonville

Randall “Randy” Williams, 67, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on August 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Randy was born April 24, 1958, in Nashville, TN to Harry and Willene Williams. He was a longtime resident of Hendersonville, TN and 1977 graduate of Hendersonville High School where he was a member of the Band of Gold. He attended Nashville State Technical Institute as well as Volunteer State Community College and proudly played the Trombone in the Vanderbilt University Spirit of Gold Marching Band.

Randy was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ where he taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon for many years. Since he was a teenager, Randy worked for the family business ABC Fence Company. Upon his uncle’s retirement, Randy took charge of the company and maintained an active business presence in the Sumner County community. Randy served on the Personnel Board for the City of Hendersonville for 37 years.

Randy was committed to the Masonic Family. He was an active member of C.E. Hendricks Chapter Order of DeMolay in his youth, where he served as Master Councilor. As an adult, he served as a dedicated DeMolay Advisor and an Active Member of the DeMolay International Supreme Council since 2008. He was inducted into the Tennessee DeMolay Hall of Fame in July 2025.

In 1983, he was initiated into Hendersonville Masonic Lodge and served as Worshipful Master in 1988. He was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite (KCCH), and Shriners International. Randy also served on the Advisory Board of Hendersonville Assembly #3, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

One of Randy’s biggest passions in life was Shriners International. Randy marched in countless parades proudly dressed as “Zip” the Clown and loved bringing joy to so many children. In 2019, Randy served as Potentate of Al Menah Shriners of Nashville, TN.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents Harry Green Williams and Willene Price Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Beth Thomason Williams, Daughter Rachel (Austin) Whitaker, grandtwins Anderson and Caroline Whitaker, Aunt Katherine Watson, and Uncle Don (Terri) Goodwin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
