Randall "Randy" Ellis passed away on May 22, 2025. Randy was born on October 14, 1954 in Nashville, TN.

Randy graduated from Antioch High school in 1972. He followed his father and his passion for arboriculture to manage Ellis Tree Care, Inc. from 1982 to 2020. He served and was involved with the International Society of Arboriculture, Southern Chapter.

Randy faithfully attended church through his lifetime. He began his service at Woodbine Cumberland Presbyterian church. He served as an Elder at West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian church during his time of membership. After moving from Nashville to Hendersonville, he and Susie settled in at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. Dad lived out his faith daily. He extended grace and demonstrated God's unconditional love to everyone in his path.

Randy became Susie's husband and father of three on December 5, 1980. He welcomed his fourth child in October of 1981. He was a faithful husband, father, provider and protector to us all. Dad loved his family. He filled our lives with laughter and joy. Randy lived life to its fullest. He lived in the moment. He did not hesitate to follow his heart and passions. He was always exploring unknown places and jumping into new adventures. Dad didn't meet a stranger. He had a gift of starting conversations and friendships with new people. He usually had a sharp and witty comeback at the ready.

Randy was a constant fan and supporter of the racing world. He loved building and racing cars with family and friends throughout this season of his life. His passion for stock car racing began on local asphalt tracks in the greater Nashville area. He enjoyed sitting behind the wheel of his many racing machines. He loved driving #38 around the track and with his opponents. Randy shared his passion for racing and classic cars. He enjoyed racing with his children/grandchildren on the go cart track.

He was quick to put your cart into a spin and into the wall.
