Richard Dean Ramsey

Richard Dean Ramsey, age 89 of Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Loving Husband, father, grandfather, and brother, joined his wife of 66 years Jean in Heaven on October 5, 2023.

Richard is survived by daughters, Jami Coggins, Lori Hooberry (Bobby), Christi Pack (Mark); sons Rick Ramsey (Teri), Andy Ramsey (Melanie); brother John Ramsey (Elaine).  He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family. 

Richard is preceded in death by wife Jean, parents Claude and Elizabeth Ramsey, brother George Ramsey, and son-in-law Steve Coggins.

A graduate of East High School Class of 1953.  He served in the Army from 1956-1962, as an artillery survey specialist.

Richard retired as Vice President of Flavors from Florida after 45 years in the dairy industry.  He loved golf, fishing, hunting, coaching, and the Tennessee Vols.  GO BIG ORANGE!!!

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 12pm-2pm.  A Memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will begin at 2:00pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A graveside service with military honors will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
