Richard "Wally" Wallis, age 85, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026. He was born on February 9, 1941, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Olis and Opal Wallis.

Wally was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished "Baapaw," caring brother, and faithful friend whose kindness and quiet strength touched the lives of many. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 before beginning a successful career with American Airlines as a communications technician. After years of dedicated service, he retired in 2000.

He was an enthusiastic sports fan with a special love for the Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Reds. Alongside his beloved wife, Judy, he faithfully delivered Meals on Wheels for 15 years, serving their community with compassion and generosity.

Wally was a devoted member and elder of First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville, where his faith guided his life and his service to others.

On January 24, 1970, Wally married the love of his life, Judy. Together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and love.

In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Jean, and his brother, William "Bill" Wallis.
