Robert Carpenter, Jr.

Mr. Robert M. Carpenter, Jr. age 92, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020.

Mr. Carpenter was born in Franklin, TN, on November 28, 1927, the son of the late Robert M. Carpenter, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Baird Carpenter. He served in the United States Army. He was educated at Franklin and East Nashville High Schools and a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Carpenter retired from Tennessee Valley Authority after many years of service. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his wife of fifty one years, Mary Jean Carpenter; sister, Frances Juanita Carpenter; and a brother, William Baird Carpenter.

Survived by sons, Robert M. Carpenter, III (Cindy), Kevin A. Carpenter (Lori), Brian B. Carpenter (Meg), and Joseph P. Carpenter.

A private entombment service will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
