Robert (Bob) Francis Maiola age 82 of Gallatin, TN passed away April 8th, 2026. Bob has been a Tennessee resident since 2000. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and neighbor. Bob grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Tuley High School in Chicago in 1961, where he played football as a 2nd string quarterback.

After high school Bob enlisted in the Marines, where he earned the Purple Heart for Vietnam in 1966. After leaving the military, Bob worked in finance for a short time, also painting garage doors. Around that time he went to Triton College for Interior Design. After that he worked in Las Vegas as a black jack dealer. Bob left the black jack tables to move to Tennessee that would become his home. Running his own business Accurate Building Maintenance for 24 years.

Bob had many interests and hobbies from faith to politics to cooking to body building. He loved Italian food, cigars, and war movies. He was a member of United Church in Gallatin, and VFW American Legion Post 17. Bob may have been from Chicago but he hated the cold but loved sitting on the porch smoking a cigar with his dog Beau. Bob loved animals and believed he see them in heaven.

Robert is survived by his wife Amanda Maiola of 4 years, his son Christopher (Chris wife Michelle) Maiola, step daughter Dana Howell, grandchildren Cheyenne, Claudia, Ava, and Phillip, and great grand daughter Illyeria, his sister Donna Hall, and niece Jaclyn D’Ambrosio
