A graduate of Flushing High School in Queens, NY, Rosemary dedicated her life to the simple joys that brought her happiness. She had a deep appreciation for books, poetry, puzzles, scrabble, and crosswords. She expressed herself through the beauty of words through writing heartfelt birthday poems and cards which will be fondly remembered by her loved ones. Her passion for reading Pulitzer Prize-winning books and spiritual books was a favorite pastime along with listening to talk radio. She was a fiercely loyal friend and confidante and the best listener to all who sought her advice.
Rosemary's personality shone through in her many interests. She loved animals and always found joy in their companionship. Dancing the lindy was one of her favorite pastimes; along with bowling, driving, decorating and organizing around the house.
Some of the highlights of Rosemary’s life were the holidays spent at Nanny and Papoo's house, where family gatherings were filled with warmth, laughter, and great food. Her fondness for apricot brandy, cream sherry and chocolate were well-known. Rosemary also developed a passion for travel from working at American Airlines for over 35 years. She enjoyed the islands especially when she went to Aruba with her beloved mom.
Music was a vital part of Rosemary's life, particularly the soulful sounds of oldies, with The Drifters holding a special place in her heart. There was ALWAYS music playing at the house and in the car!!!
