Roy Lamar Roberts, born July 26th, 1931 in Lyons, GA and passed away on March 13th, 2020 in Hendersonville, TN, at the age of 88. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Byron Roberts, mother, Lucille Bowman, son, Joseph Roberts, stepson, Dale Verhein, daughter, LaRae Roberts and stepdaughter, Lisa Spiess. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita Roussel Roberts, son, Horace Roberts (Julie), daughter, Jolene Ott (Aaron), stepdaughter, Lesli Carter (Ronald), stepson-in-law, Ernest Spiess (Lisa), sister, Gail Panser of Enon, OH, and brother, Edgar Lansford of Atlanta, GA. Roy is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Roy was a 9 year veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed cooking and gardening. He was a Sales Representative and a parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville.

Funeral Mass for Roy will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville on Tuesday, March 17th at 12:30 PM. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:30 AM until the hour of the Mass. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with Military Honors.
