Sam W. Young. of Hendersonville passed way on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Nashville, TN. Sam was the son of the late Sam W. and Rebecca Vaden Young. He is survived by his loving wife Dolores Wehby Young; son Tim Young (Jeanette); daughter Hope Young; grandchildren Ben Young (Holly), Bethany Perkins (Johnathan); Seth Parker (Chasadey) and Rachel Young; eight great-grandchildren. Young was preceded in death by his son Philip Sam Young. Service to celebrate Mr. Youngs life will be held at 1pm on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 13,2020 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the start of the service.
Mr. Young retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. Some of his favorite hobbies and interest was watching westerns and NASCAR on television and fishing. Mr. Young owned the first Dairy Queen in Hendersonville. He also owned Dixie Delight Egg Farm, Lunker Dunker Lures. Mr. Young also trained bird dogs and repaired boat motors, among other business ventures. HendersonvilleFH.com
