Obituary

Sandra Anne Harris, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026. She was born on July 9, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Sandra was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend. She shared 64 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Larry Harris, whom she married on October 11, 1961. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and lasting memories.

She is survived by her two children, Phil Harris (Vickie) and Michelle Harris; her brother, Michael Briggs (Sue); and extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her fun-loving spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Briggs and Herman Briggs.

Sandra was a graduate of Volunteer State Community College She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life-shopping for something special, listening to music filling her home, and traveling to her favorite places, whether it was the mountains of Gatlinburg or the beaches of Florida. She especially treasured visits with friends in Canada.

Her home was often the heart of family gatherings, where she loved hosting holiday celebrations and bringing loved ones together. Sandra also fondly remembered her time working at Opryland theme park, a job she held for 10 years and often spoke of as her favorite.

Known for her love of the color purple, Sandra brought brightness and personality into everything she touched. Her love for music could often be heard echoing throughout her home.

Sandra's legacy and the countless memories she created with those around her will be forever remembered!
