Scott J. Ransom, 79, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.  Scott was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to S. Jack and Iva Mae Ransom.  He was past president of Parthenon Metal Works.

An avid outdoorsman, Scott enjoyed fishing, boating, hiking in the National Parks, and traveling coast to coast on his Harley Davidson.  He could fix anything and was masterful at restoring antique motorcycles and classic cars.  His most important role was that of a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  Watching his grandsons develop their own interests brought him joy.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents S. Jack and Iva Mae Ransom.  He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Judith; daughters Tracy Ransom (Patrick Mullin), Audra Ransom, and Whitney Ransom Cowles; his four grandsons Matthew Givissis, Thomas Givissis, Andrew Cowles, and Zachary Cowles; sister Jaclyn M. Sirianni, and many extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 10am-12pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A funeral service will begin at 12pm with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, 353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee.
