Stephen Baldyga

Stephen Allen Baldyga, age 67, passed away on January 3, 2023.  He was born on December 10, 1955 in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Alfred Baldyga and Helen Barber Ruth.  Steve is survived by his wife, Brenda Baldyga; daughters, Kimberly Piotto of Hendersonville, Tiffani O’Shea of Murfreesboro, and Jessica Samuelson of Florida; sons, Stephen Baldyga and Joe Baldyga both from Florida; 14 grandchildren; and one special great-grandson that started to make his entrance the evening of Steve’s passing.

Steve loved to joke and tell amazing stories.  He was the author of 17 books.  Steve’s letters could lift you out of the gloom and bring joy.  He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Boston Red Sox.  Steve would give old toys new life by fixing them up, painting them, and reselling.  Steve loved to bring joy to others.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home with the Memorial Service held immediately following visitation.
