Tami Carla Pearce, a beloved editor, artist, and devoted mother, passed away peacefully at her home in Hendersonville, Tennessee on July 11, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on June 17, 1963, in Blountsville, Alabama, Tami's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for family, her commitment to the craft of writing, and her passionate expression of art.

Tami's career was defined by her roles as an editor at Southern Progress and the New York Times, experiences that enriched her life with countless memories and experiences that would resonate through the years. She had an exceptional talent for weaving stories and appreciated the beauty found in every narrative, much like her adoration for literature. Above all else, Tami cherished her family and friends. Those who knew her could testify to her generosity in showering loved ones with gifts and affection that came straight from her heart. She was a nurturing wife to Richard Pearce, her devoted spouse of 28 years, and a proud mother to Forrest Pearce and daughter-in-law Maggie (Hatfield) Pearce. Tami's legacy continues through her beloved granddaughters, Rosalind Nadine Pearce and Lois Holly Pearce, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
