In Loving Memory of Teddy Lawrence Knight

Teddy Knight, age 82, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on July 26, 2026.

Teddy was born on February 13, 1944, in Springfield, Tennessee. He lived a life marked by courage, strength, devotion to his family, and a deep pride in his country.

Teddy was a proud United States Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient. His service to his country was a source of tremendous pride throughout his life. The Purple Heart he received stands as a lasting testament to his bravery, sacrifice, and honorable service to our nation.

While Teddy was incredibly proud to be a veteran, the greatest legacy he leaves behind is his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Pam Knight; his children, Tiffany Bolin (Josh Bolin), Brent Knight, and Stacy Knight; his five beloved grandchildren, Preston (Katlyn), Morgan, Caden, Knox, and Maddox; and his great-grandchild, Sutton Knight. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Knight (Joyce); his sisters, Debbie Moon (Dennis) and Linda Shepard (Tippy); and his beloved dog and faithful companion, Milo.

Teddy was preceded in death by his mom Orie Eloise Knight and his sister, Jean Hand.

Teddy will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother, and proud veteran. His strength, his stories, and the memories created throughout his 82 years will remain with those who knew and loved him.

In honor of Teddy and the way he lived his life, the family kindly asks that those attending his services refrain from wearing black. Instead, please wear red, white, and/or blue—Teddy’s favorite colors and a fitting tribute to a man who was so deeply proud of his country and his service to it.

His family will forever carry the memories of the time they were blessed to share with him. Though his absence will be deeply felt, Teddy’s legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren and through the love he shared with his family.

Teddy served his country with courage, loved his family deeply, and leaves behind a legacy of strength, sacrifice, and love that will never be forgotten.

May he rest in peace, with the honor and gratitude he so greatly deserves.
