Tonya Bennett

Tonya Bennett, born on June 22, 1976, peacefully passed away on March 23, 2026, after facing a long illness with remarkable bravery and unwavering strength. Throughout her life, Tonya lived with a spirit of selflessness and purpose, dedicating herself to doing what was right for others as part of the Lord's work. She leaves behind a lasting legacy that will be remembered and cherished for many years to come.

Tonya was a multi-talented and compassionate individual who pursued several meaningful careers. She was an entrepreneur, a paramedic, and a special education teacher, touching countless lives in each of these roles. Her dedication to helping and teaching others was a true reflection of her generous heart.

She graduated from high school in Anchorage, Alaska, and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree after attending Austin Peay State University and the University of Arkansas. Tonya’s family and interests were very important to her. She and her loved ones shared a special affection for Mastiff dogs, and they actively participated in the Israeli and Jewish communities.

Tonya is lovingly remembered by her husband, Scott Bennett, and children, Gabi Bennett, Ariana Toy, and Cohen Bennett. She is also survived by her grandmother, Beth Reed; her uncle, Jeff Reed; her aunt, Raelene Helin; her father, Cutris Gibeaut Sr.; her sister, Meagan Connors; her brothers, Joe Connors and Justin Gibeaut; as well as various step and half siblings, cousins, friends, and family members residing across Tennessee, Washington, Arkansas, California, Wisconsin, and Florida.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Eugene Reed, and her mother, Connie Reed.

A visitation will be on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN. Another visitation will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church at 1729 Stop 30 Rd, Hendersonville, TN, followed by a Mass from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same church.

Tonya Bennett’s peaceful nature and dedication to the service of others made a profound difference in her community and within her family. She was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed.
