Virginia Whittenburg Guy - Age 86, of Hendersonville, passed away August 31, 2015.
Mrs. Guy was a selfless, loving and caring woman. She was a shining example of how to live a Godly life. She was strong in her beliefs and opinions but would only offer them when asked. She was a retiree from the State of Tennessee as Clerk IV in the Vital Statistic Dept. She was also a longtime member of Holiday Heights Baptist Church. Some of her hobbies were boating, square dancing, playing the bass guitar and singing at church and around local nursing homes. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Whittenburg & James Guy; parents, Winnie Pippin McCloud & Looman McCloud; children, Jacquelyn Burgess & Wes Whittenburg; sister, Jackie Whitehead; brother, Eddie McCloud. Survived by her son, J. R. Whittenburg (Linda); grandchildren, John Adam Whittenburg, Joshua Whittenburg (Erin), Stacy Romines (Toney), Billy Burgess (Kellie), Chad Whittenburg (Becky), Jennifer Whittenburg, Shelly Thompson, & Brad Whittenburg (Kacy); 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held 2:00pm Friday September 4, 2015 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm Thursday & 12:00pm - 2:00pm Friday at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 Johnny Cash Pkwy, Hendersonville, TN, 37075 615-824-3855
