WALTER VERNON COVERDALE (1936-2026)

WALTER VERNON COVERDALE, 90, of Hendersonville, TN, died on Sept 18, 2026

Walter was born in Millville, New Jersey in 1936 to Frederick Coverdale and Flora Myer. Walter served 20 years in the United States Air Force and retired in 1976. Walter loved to fish and watch baseball. He lived in Seminole Florida and moved to Tennessee in 2009.

Walter was preceded in death by his son Troy Coverdale and step son Patrick Versage. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marianne Coverdale, sister Karilyn Davis and niece Allison, step daughter Marie Stewart, son in law John Stewart, grandson Sean Stewart, grandson Tony Stewart and Des Stewart, great-granddaughter Payton Stewart, granddaughter Sidney Stewart, grandson Jesse Versage and grandson Shawn Versage.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
