Mrs. Wanda Jeannine Futrell age 89, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

Mrs. Futrell was born on July 8th, 1931, to the late Winburn and Odelle Alton. She was the eldest of six children. She loved Jesus! Mrs. Futrell taught her children to love the Lord. She met her husband, George at a malt shop in Murray, KY. They eloped on June 12th, 1951. Mrs. Futrell worked at Macy's as a salesclerk until her retirement. She was a fantastic cook and wonderful hostess to friends and families. Mrs. Futrell was kind, loving, full of fun, and energetic. She will be missed. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Futrell was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy and a sister, Freda Zane.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-nine years, George Washington Futrell; son, Orvis Kenny Futrell (Sandra); a daughter, Kimberly Miles (Rickey); granddaughters, Keyana, Candy (James), and Cori (Mark); great-grandchildren, Peyton, Savannah (John), Emma, and Lainie; two brothers, Gerald Alton and Jan Ray Alton; and a sister, Sherry Lee Gann. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2020, at 1:30 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Sunday from noon until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to American Brain Association, 201 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55415 or Bible Baptist Church of Hendersonville, 260 New Shackle Island Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
