William Edward Brown, age 84 of Hendersonville, passed away on December 20, 2014.
Mr. Brown was born on April 2, 1930 to the late William and Lora Opal Brown of Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating from high school, Mr. Brown joined the U.S. Army where he proudly served during the Korean War. After getting out of the Army, Mr. Brown attended the University of Alabama where he studied Mechanical Engineering which led him to eventually own Woods Metal Company in Nashville and then Competition Powder Coaters in Gallatin later in life. However, he is best known for being the most loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his sister Barbara Anne Neil along with both parents. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Doris O. Brown; daughters, Valerie (Dan) Mayberry and Susan (Daniel) Newbill; grandchildren, John Phillip (Heather) Mayberry and Mark Edward(Melissa) Mayberry; great-grandchildren, Katherine Adeline Mayberry, Ava Xarin Mayberry, William Asher Mayberry, Breianna Katelyn Maggard, Taylor Jade Maggard, Madison Rilie Mayberry and Ryan Edward Mayberry; and brother Lowell Reagan (Sandra) Brown.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 23 at 2pm in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday December 23rd from 12 o'clock until the time of service at 2pm.
