Barbara Henry

Barbara Henry, age 85, passed away on March 5, 2023.  She was born on December 22, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late George and Willie Mae Roberts.  She is also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Roberts; and great-grandchild, Jersey.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Henry; children, Irene Eanes (Rick), Jeani O’Guin (Tim), Tammy Cole (Chris), René Henry (Kris), and Robin Henry (Kerri); grandchildren, Mike, Angel, Rocky, Ricky, April, Mike, Tina, Timothy, Lara, Ashley, Leah, Sean, Shane, Audrey, Mackenzie, Trinity, and Dakota; great-grandchildren, Nick, Brandi, Jackson, Jayla, Lacy, C.J., Meela, Violet, Hailey, Mason, Bella, Yazmin, and Tahj; great-great-grandchildren, Nasir, Nylah, and Paisley; and brother, Donnie Synder (Dorothy).

Barbara was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Hendersonville West congregation. She loved sharing the truths she learned about God with anyone who would listen. To those who shared her faith, she was known as “Sister Henry”.

She had a profound love and respect her husband Kenneth and he for her. They were known by their closest friends as “Ken & Barbie”. Their relationship became a model that their children strive earnestly to follow. She and Ken loved dancing, including two-step and country line dancing. Barbara also enjoyed sewing and was especially talented at it.

Memorial Service will be Saturday March 11, at 3:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1017 Calvert Street Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation with family at 3:00 pm.
