Charlie "Pete" Hammock

Charlie J. “Pete” Hammock age 95, of Hendersonville passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023.  Pete was born on November 25, 1927, to Luther Loyd Hammock and Annie Mae (Wix) Hammock in Westmoreland, Tennessee.

Pete loved cars, car shows, and anything to do with the outdoors.  He enjoyed grilling out, boating on the lake, and meeting his buddy’s everyday at McDonald’s and Krystals both in the morning and the afternoon.  Pete could always find someone he knew at every place he went.  He loved his family, it was his calling being a husband, dad, and papa!  He always made sure that every holiday was special for his family.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Earlene Goad.  He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Erlene (Bush) Hammock, son Bruce (Lisa) Hammock, daughter Kelly Hammock-Murphy; grandchildren Kayla Murphy and Cody Hammock.  In addition, he is survived by numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 11:30am-1pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A Funeral service will begin at 1pm in the Chapel at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.
