Robert A. “Bob” Hart, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on May 5, 2021, at Riverview Medical Center, he was 69 years old.

Born into a U.S. military family with French and American ancestry, Bob lived in Europe, the Middle East and Japan before he graduated high school, and soon after began his lifelong pursuit of music. A prolific songwriter, he was also a dynamic singer and for many years fronted the band “Buckeye,” which performed extensively in the southeast of the United States and with whom he created the unreleased album “Feet With Wings of Gold” in 1977. Settling permanently in Hendersonville in 1984, he took on a “day gig” working for the RJ Young printing company from which he retired in 2005. During those years he wrote hundreds of songs and in 2006 released “Blue to the Bone,” a CD of his songs accompanied by Nashville musicians, family, and friends. He followed that release in 2015 with a second CD, “Pieces of Your Soul.” Both CDs are available on Apple Music. He also enjoyed cooking, eating, discussion and debate, playing board games and spending time with family and friends.

Bob was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. There is no one who was close to him that did not feel the love and care that radiated from him. He is proceeded in death by his father, Robert E. Hart, his mother, Pauline M. Hart, stepfather, Marcelino Tirado, and brothers Charles and Patrick. He is survived by five brothers, a sister, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, three nephews, eight nieces, two great nieces, five great nephews, many dear friends. He has been laid to rest at Memory Gardens in Hendersonville.
