ABOUT US

Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cremation Center (formerly Woodlawn East) was established in 1968. We are proud to have served over 3,300 families throughout Sumner County in the funeral home since it opened in late 2003.

Notable burials at Hendersonville Memory Gardens include American singer-songwriters Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Another notable burial is Luther Perkins, an American country music guitarist and member of the Tennessee Three, the backup band for singer Johnny Cash.

Our cremation garden was designed for families looking for a less traditional option for cremation placement. Located just outside the funeral home, strolling through the garden, you find a tranquil and beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle outside.

Due to high demand, the decision was made to add on to the current mausoleum. There are now 250 mausoleum crypts indoors, as well as many feature glass front niches for families choosing cremation. This allows for a special way to decorate their loved one’s niche. In addition, there are also new, interior granite niches available.

Most recently, we constructed additional exterior mausoleum crypts and columbaria for cremation placement.

Our chapel seats 250 people and is equipped with a progressive sound system. The choir loft contains a keyboard and microphone which are built into the sound system. A ceiling mounted projector at the front of the chapel allows for inclusion of the Video Tribute during the Funeral Service.
